University – a resourceful jungle!
Author : Berthe Stempfer, PhD
Coming from a French background, where two graduate school systems co-exist (University versus Engineering Schools), the university represented the jungle for me. Indeed, my vision of it was a gigantic campus with very old buildings where students were left alone with no defined structure. So, eventually, I chose to go to an engineering school, knowing that it would offer me the warmth I was looking for, fewer students, a very structured training path, and closer interactions with the teachers. And I was right because this model suited me well.
